A guest spot is a short period when a tattoo artist works as a guest at a studio other than their own. It usually lasts from a few days to a few weeks. Artists travel between cities and countries this way, and local clients can get tattooed by them without travelling.
Why do artists do guest spots?
Guest work lets artists reach new clients, get to know other studios and share experience with local artists. For the host studio, it is a chance to offer clients a style that nobody on the regular team works in.
How do you book a guest spot?
Guest dates are limited, so bookings usually open in advance. The same rules apply as with resident artists: a consultation, an agreed design and a deposit. How deposits work is explained in our studio terms.
